Vince Zampella, who helped create the globally famous franchise Call of Duty, has died in a car accident in the state of California aged 55.

His passing was confirmed by Electronic Arts, the parent company of Respawn Entertainment, the video game company he co-founded.

The renowned industry figure passed away following his vehicle was involved in a crash and burst into flames on a motorway in the Los Angeles area on Sunday morning, according to.
