Soccer Expert Chris Sutton Faces Off Against Artist Murs in Top Flight Predictions

Arsenal's 10-game victorious streak came to an end by the Black Cats prior to the international break, however will the English top division leaders recover against north London rivals Spurs this weekend?

"{I feel like Arsenal are miles ahead of Tottenham currently but Spurs manager Thomas Frank will have a strategy for this match," remarked soccer specialist Chris Sutton.

"The Spurs manager will try to nullify Arsenal, who have not always been at their scintillating finest this campaign - but Mikel Arteta's side usually still find a way to win."

Sutton is forecasting results for all 380 Premier League games this season, against AI, fans and a variety of special visitors.

For the twelfth round, he faces performer Olly Murs, who is a Manchester United fan.

Murs' latest record, Knees Up, is available on the weekend.

Football and Family Experiences

Murs is a skilled soccer player as well as a successful singer and has been a star of multiple Soccer Aid matches down the years - but he is not intending a professional return as a footballer.

"{I recently played in a charity match the other night for a mate of mine," he said. "My team was losing 3-1 when I was substituted in the second half, and they proceeded to win 4-3, so you can interpret that what you want!

"I still love football, but I hurt my joint a few years ago and it even now isn't where I want it to be. I wish I could play more but the unpredictability of the game means it's too risky for me in my career to do it seriously again.

"Plus I am forty-one now, and we are not all Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very happy not playing football and I am gearing up for the moment that my child or boy decides to play instead."

The singer and his spouse Amelia Tank have a young family, their daughter and their son, and he is prepared to follow in his father's footsteps by taking on the role of their manager.

"I will not force football on our kids but I've previously told Amelia that if they do get the passion for it then I will have to go and get my coaching badges - and I will probably be coaching their weekend soccer side," he said.

"I observed my relatives play a lot, and I really got into it, and I obviously owned a soccer team for a period too.

"My father coached with us when I was a kid, which is likely where I inherited it. He coached our side for two or three years and had a wonderful time with it. That could be the next step for me as well, and I am looking forward to it!"

Top Division Predictions

  • Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT

Chelsea might have to wait a bit longer for Cole Palmer's return from injury but their attack is already more potent with Pedro and Delap both returned to fitness.

I still think this game will be quite tight, however. The Clarets are disciplined and their only home defeats so far have been against the Reds and Arsenal.

This smells of a one-all tie to me, but I am actually going to go with Chelsea to win narrowly for what would be their third league win in a row.

The expert's prediction: 1-2

Olly's pick: Chelsea will be too strong. 1-3

Artificial intelligence's outlook: 0-2

Bournemouth have been defeated in their past two matches - albeit both of them were away - but they got absolutely spanked by Villa last time out which surprised me.

On the other hand, West Ham secured back-to-back victories before the international break and, although both of those fixtures were at home, they appear strong again.

The Hammers' only on the road victory this season came at Nottingham Forest in the summer, when their boss Nuno Espirito Santo was still that team's manager.

So, what on earth do I go with here - can West Ham continuing their run under Nuno, or Bournemouth responding?

I am going to choose the Cherries, because I think what happened against Villa was a blip.

Sutton's prediction: 2-0

The guest's outlook: Bournemouth are doing well but West Ham have improved under their boss. 2-2

The algorithm's pick: 1-1

  • Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT

The Bees were considered one of the favourites for relegation before the campaign began, but they have impressed a several observers under Keith Andrews and are in fine fettle with three in their last four games.

My son advised me to select Brentford forward Thiago in my Fantasy Football squad a few weeks ago and, guess what, I didn't listen.

Thiago will likely find the net again on Saturday but I am still not going to pick him or back the away side at Brighton's ground.

They have not had much fortune on the road this season, and Brighton are always decent at home. The visitors will try to attack on the counter-attack but I think Fabian Hurzeler's side carry much more of a threat.

The analyst's prediction: 2-1

Olly's view: This could be a match where you expect there is going to be a many goals but it in reality proves to be rather tight. 1-1

The computer's prediction: 2-1

  • Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT

It is a massive game for Fulham, who have lost five of their last six matches.

They have have lots of quality in their team but it nonetheless seems like they could be sucked into a drop zone battle.

As for the Black Cats, indeed they are the surprise package of the top flight season so far.

The away side's performance in the 2-2 tie with Arsenal last time out was superb. We have not seen anyone else disrupt the Gunners like that this term, and Sunderland were more than a match for them.

The sensible thing would be to support the Black Cats here, because they are obviously able of disrupting the hosts up too and, the previous occasion they were in west London, they defeated the Blues at the end of October.

But I am not going to do that. Rather, I truly need to carry on opposing Sunderland with my forecasts. I am taking a lot of credit for their positive results because they evidently enjoy to defy my predictions.

Looking at Fulham's home record, the only side they have lost to is the league leaders. Their manager's team will be absolutely desperate for a good result, so I am going to say they will pick up three much-needed points.

Sutton's forecast: 1-0

Olly's prediction: I'm aware the visitors are doing well and also that Fulham are on a bad streak... but Fulham have still been decent at home this season. 2-0

AI's outlook: 2-0

  • Anfield, 15:00 GMT

This is a tough one to predict. Liverpool have lost seven of their past 10 games in all competitions, but might they be one of the teams who benefit from the {international break|
