Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-bout match which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.
British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to build hype for next month's boxing match.
Former two time world title holder Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge disparity - at Miami's arena on 19 December.
Boxer's Attitude
"I plan to injure his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I intend to seriously aim to hurt him. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Exchange
Despite these statements, a composed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually recognized for his showmanship - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.
Paul rather attacked former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "a joke" after the Cameroonian rejected a fight offer.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, took aim at British opponent Fury - and rejected a large bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul win.
"[Paul] outshines Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer commented.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Fighter
Despite saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he stated.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by Briton Fury in last year.
Financial Success
Still, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's largest commercial attractions, frequently receiving huge earnings.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in round four or five and asserted he would prevent the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently being planned for two years from now.
"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.
Physical Difference
As Joshua and Paul engaged in the customary stare-down, with their size difference evident, it emphasized just how surprising this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the match is truly proceeding.
